Lecture “Todos  somos  plástico, e  depois?”

Focused on demystifying   plastic  as  the  bad guy,  Professor  Geoffrey  Mitchell  (Physics of  polymers),  Professor  Artur  Mateus  (  Mechanic  engineer) and  Amaro  Dias  ( President of  APIP-  Associação  Portuguesa da  Indústria  de  plásticos), talked  to the  youngest how plastics  have changed  our  lives,  how the  properties  of  plastics  are  so  advantageous  in numerous  industries, and  how  plastics  could  be  a  problem  nowadays, depending  on  humanity  unconscious  behavior.   The kids    took  their  concerns  and  doubts.  And  the afternoon  concluded  with  production  of  shapes from Bioplastic  Polylactic  acid  (PLA)  using hot  water to soften the plastic.
