Talking to those who really see the sea

During  recent months, several  maritime industries from Ondarroa (Spain), Vigo (Spain), La Rochelle (France), Cork (Ireland), Plymouth (United Kingdom) and  Peniche (Portugal),  were interviewed with the aim of performing a Diagnosis on Circular Plastics for Maritime Industries (Fishing, auxiliary fishing and aquaculture; Shipyards and port management; Nautical sports).

The methodology for diagnosis and benchmarking in all Nodes, involved the identification of the different type of the plastic wastes, management and collection strategies, wastes volume, wastes origin, manufacturing technologies, activity volume and impact of the involved sectors and supply chains. Benchmarking was performed on plastic waste collection and 3D printing technology potential applications.
